When people hear the name "Ashley Eckstein", first thing they think of is Ahsoka. Well, can't blame them. She is in fact the voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Star Wars Rebels. But her journey to get the part of Ahsoka was a challenge. So she wrote a book to share her journey that leads up to her getting the role of Ahsoka & to creating her own brand "Her Universe". The book starts off with Ashley's life being surrounded by Disney. She became a Disney cast member in the parks & later ended up starring on a popular Disney Channel show called "That's So Raven". It later shows her journey with meeting Dave Filoni and then getting the role of Ahsoka Tano for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. And then it shows how Her Universe became the brand that we all come to love. I honestly look up to Ashley as an inspiration and role model. Disney is a part of my life & I too am a Disney cast member. I have been a Disney Store cast member for 3 and a half years now, going on 4 in January & thanks to Ashley's book, I definitely have followed my path & I'm just waiting to see what lies ahead of me. This outfit is very simple as it's exactly Ashley's outfit that she wears on the cover of the book! The shirt is from Disney & the necklace is Hot Topic. I wore R2-D2 as the necklace cause I know that Artoo has a special place in Ashley's heart as it is her favorite Star Wars character. The day I'm posting this (September 22nd) is Ashley's birthday & I wanted to showcase a book that isn't Star Wars related to canon, but one that everyone must read. Thank you so much Ashley for bringing your light into the Star Wars universe and into the Star Wars community. You definitely shine bright in both & I personally wish you nothing but the best!
